I hope you’re all doing well, and my apologies for less frequent missives in recent weeks. I have something exciting(?), though!
This is your chance to ask me anything you want to know about the tech industry, or anything you’d like to hear me talk about.
Have a question about how AI is impacting society, or the economy, or art, or something else? Curious what I think about a certain platform you like more than others? Something about the digital economy that has never made sense to you and you want explained once and for all? Want to finally know my ranking of all the Rocky movies? Ask away!
I’ll answer whatever you ask in my next newsletter, and if this works well, I’d be happy to do it again sometime in the future.
So don’t be shy!
Either email me at jakeadampitre@gmail.com with your question, or leave a comment on this post! I’ll be back in your email feed with my answers.
I’m interested in how different streaming platforms handle content other than their own IP. As far as I know only Prime and Apple are using a conventional rental method for smaller titles. Do you think that this is helpful for the film medium at large? Do you think that these add any “relevance” to these platforms or if this model even makes money beside the overwhelming glut of platform produced content?
Love to hear what you like/find interesting about Hong Sang-soo as a filmmaker and what you'd recommend as a starting point for someone uninitiated in his filmography.
